FW Capital-backed Didsbury Gin has announced it will be providing Greater Manchester Police with disinfectant products for the foreseeable future, by switching up production to manufacture hand sanitisers.

Didsbury Gin received £100,000 funding from NPIF - FW Capital Debt Finance, managed by FW Capital and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) in 2019 and an additional investment in February to support further expansion.

Liam Manton, founder of Didsbury Gin, said: “The chancellor’s recent comments about 'being judged by our capacity for compassion' really struck a chord with us during last week's statement. We are extremely proud to be doing our bit for the community during this difficult time.”

FW Capital portfolio executive Elaine Yarwood said:  “Everyone wants to do their bit to help tackle this crisis as is evidenced by 400,000 people signing up to be NHS volunteers. Businesses too are looking at ways in which they can help and we are very proud of Didsbury Gin for using its facility to produce such an important product to benefit those working on the frontline.”
