Barry-Wilson
Investment Executive

“We can now accelerate our global growth with confidence. It’s been great working with Barry Wilson at FW Capital who has spent a lot of time and effort on this and we appreciate all his support.”

John Pattinson, Director, Eclectic Lifestyle Company

The Eclectic Lifestyle Company invested in its future growth after securing a six-figure loan from NPIF II – FW Capital Debt Finance, managed by FW Capital as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II).

The Chester-based, family-run fragrance and lifestyle manufacturer works with leading UK brands including the National Trust, Bloom & Wild, ASOS, John Lewis, HomeSense, Anthropologie, and TK Maxx. The funding supported its expansion into international markets such as the US, Australia, Japan, the Czech Republic, and Poland.

The company, which designs and manufactures its WXY and Maegen brands from its Chester site, forecasted turnover of £3.5 million over the following 12 months - a 50% increase on 202, and aimed to reach £5 million by 2026. Established in 1998 and acquired by John and Debra Pattinson in 2012, the business evolved into a family-run enterprise, with their children and extended family taking on key roles across management, sales, HR, logistics, and manufacturing.

Eclectic Lifestyle Company supplies products to a wide range of retailers, from independent boutiques to major high-street chains. Its portfolio included candles, room sprays, oils, and diffusers, as well as homeware items such as statement plates and accessories.
