Senior Investment Executive

We are hiring for a Senior Investment Executive based in Liverpool.

Job purpose

Responsible for the sourcing and appraisal of applications for investments, preparing reports and recommending investments to the fund director, fund manager and investment committee.

To lead and motivate other team members in the Liverpool office and wider North West team.

To provide support for the fund manager and fund director.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts who will provide quality deal flow for the fund.
  • Assess applications for funding, conducting appropriate due diligence and preparing necessary reports for the fund director and investment committee.
  • Lead and motive other team members, providing investment training/guidance where required.
  • Contribute to the operation of the fund as a provider of risk capital to businesses, in accordance with the investment operating guidelines.
  • Disseminate examples of best practice for applying to the fund to key business introducers and ensuring that the application process is continually refined and improved to provide the best possible client service.
  • Undertake presentations, participate and represent the fund, where appropriate, at meetings, seminars and events.
  • Assist in marketing/promotion of the fund in conjunction with the wider awareness raising of FW Capital.
  • Provide assistance to the fund director and fund manager in the management of external stakeholders including the British Business Bank.
  • Deputise for the fund director and fund manager when required, including exercise of discretionary powers.
  • To attain set targets.
  • Any other task as may be defined by the fund director to meet the operational needs of the Fund.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

Essential

  • Experience of analysing financial information
  • Extensive Key Business Introducer network in the region and a track record of hitting targets
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident in own decision making skills
  • Experience of training team members
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work under pressure and determination to complete tasks in a qualitative manner with measureable success
  • Attention to detail
  • Driving Licence
  • IT/PC literate to include the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

Desirable

  • Degree or relevant business experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business environment in local area
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours
  • Presentation Skills
